New Honorary Lecturer at The Viktor Frankl Centre NI

I am delighted to welcome Paul Brennan as our latest Honorary Lecturer/Adjunct Faculty Member at the Viktor Frankl Centre Northern Ireland.

Paul and I trained together many years ago; he has a wealth of experience in business consulting and is an accomplished Logotherapist and Existential Analyst.

His biography is as follows:

"Paul is a Logotherapist and existential analyst in Dublin, practicing since January 2017. He runs Celtic Logotherapy, which serves both private clients and those in the public health and justice systems in the Republic of Ireland and the UK.

Over the years, Paul has worked with immigrants and refugees from third-party countries on behalf of both the Department of Justice and non-governmental organizations.

Additionally, he regularly collaborates with male and female prisoners within the Irish & UK judicial prison system.

Celtic Logotherapy provides clients with integrated therapeutic solutions through modalities such as logotherapy, Reichian body therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and soma therapy. The practice also offers a specialized treatment—component-based psychotherapy—for adult survivors of childhood emotional abuse and neglect.

Paul is an active member of the Viktor Frankl Institute in Ireland and frequently lectures on the benefits of logotherapy.

He also operates Paradigm Supply Chain Solutions, a technical management consultancy in Dublin focused on green projects related to carbon, ISO certifications, quality management, and global BRC food standards.

Previously, Paul held senior roles at companies such as the Smurfit Kappa Group, United Technology Carrier, 3Com, Apple, Microsoft, Primark, House of Fraser, Tesco, Brown Thomas Group, Lister Group, Black & Decker, ABX Logistics, and the Belgian railway company.

He spent ten years as General Manager of Supply Chain Management for McDonald's Europe and six years as lead consultant on their Global Sustainability panel. After retirement, he consulted for McDonald's China on food safety issues until August 2022.

Paul is a chartered logistician, logistical engineer, and food technologist, with business diplomas in marketing, lean engineering, six sigma, TQM, and purchasing.

He has lectured at the Technical University of Dublin and University College Dublin's Smurfit Business School in supply chain management

Educated at the National College of Ireland, University College Dublin, Harvard University, the Open University, and Cranfield University, Paul holds degrees including a BE in Industrial Engineering, BA in Human Resources Management, MSc in Supply Chain Management, BSc in Logistics, Masters in European Logistics, and a certificate in Logistical Engineering.

With over 45 years of industrial experience, his professional memberships include the Viktor Frankl Institute (Ireland), International Association for Logotherapy and Existential Analysis (Vienna), Society of Logistical Engineers (USA), American Council of Logistics Management, and he is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in several countries".

Paul makes a unique and significant addition to our Adjunct Faculty and I look forward to working closely with him in the months ahead.
